About |JEFF FUCHS

How long have you been at BCC: Since the beginning, 2005.

Hometown (Where I grew up):  I was born in Milwaukee and then moved to Maryville as a child. Blount County is home.

Family: Married Kim in 1991. We have two daughters, a son-in-law, and two grandkids.

Favorite Food: 2 enchiladas, rice, and extra brown sauce from Los Amigos; venison back-strap filets wrapped in bacon; CFA original chicken sandwich with extra pickles.

Favorite Hobbies: Camping at Elkmont in the Smokies. Hunting with dad. Fly fishing.

Favorite Sports Team: I used to LOVE sports but not as much anymore. I like the Green Bay Packers unless they have a dimwit quarterback. I want to like the Tennessee Titans, but they make it hard.  I like SEC football, but the SEC isn’t the same. I’m an irresolute UT fan.

What most people don’t know about me: Most clothes I wear have been given to me or purchased at a second-hand store (no comments necessary).

What am I reading: Books by Patrick Lencioni, Bruce Shelley, and John Lennox.

What is currently on my playlist: History podcasts. Sports talk show. Classic rock of the 80’s.

Life Verse: Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.

Favorite Bible Story: The Apostle Paul was preaching a long sermon. A guy named Eutychus was listening, seated in a third-story window, and fell asleep...and then fell OUT of the window to his death. Then Paul raised him back to life (Acts 20:7-12).

Ministry Experience: Began part-time Student Ministry in 1987. Full-time since mid-90s. Lead Pastor since 2005. BA in Psychology, MA in Christian Counseling, MML in Ministry Leadership, and D. Min in Transformational Leadership.
