Baptism is an important step of obedience for every person who has accepted Jesus as his or her Savior. While it isn't necessary for salvation, Jesus set the example for us as an act of obedience, and we were instructed to baptize others who choose to follow Jesus. We baptize by immersion in water, because we believe Scripture shows Jesus modeled it for us as the way to publicly acknowledge our faith in him. You may have attended one of our services and witnessed a baptism.
